Our Pre-school Sports programs are a great way to introduce children to the world of sport. We aim to instill in children a love of being active so that physical activity is seen as being fun, they develop healthy habits from a young age, build confidence to enhance self esteem and along the way, develop a good range of fundamental motor skills.
Activities within our programs challenge children’s co-ordination, balance, gross motor skills, strength and fitness. Our sessions are skill based and we focus on locomotor, object-control and body control skills. We also introduce the key elements of sports such as Athletics, Cricket, Gymnastics, Soccer, T-Ball &Tennis.
Our program supports the Early Years Learning framework. Regular conversation with children about the importance of exercise and healthy eating reinforces what teachers are implementing in the classroom. Feedback regarding childrens’ physical development is shared with teachers and parents.
Our program is well suited to both boys and girls of age 2-5 years. All the activities are age-appropriate, as is the equipment used in our sessions and all is supplied each week. Our staff are mostly PE teachers and Human Movement students. Working with Children checks have been carried out on all staff and they are required to undergo regular training.
